About Me

"Tâm Hồn Ăn Uống" is a common Vietnamese phrase. One I often heard from my parents growing up when I found myself asking about my next meal before I even finished the one in front of me!

"Tâm Hồn" means "Soul"

"Ăn Uống" means "To Eat and Drink."

The phrase could loosely translate to "Eating and Drinking Soul" or "A passion for eating and drinking." I'm not quite sure which is more accurate, but both are certainly applicable.

I want to eat my way across the world, one bit[e] at a time and explore every culture imagineable...but my true love will always be Vietnamese food. Nothing beats the food you grew up eating.

In some cultures, food is an art. There's a reason, a process and a tradition. I want to explore all of it. So this is - hopefully - going to be a chronicle of many experiences to come. I'm no foodie and no expert, but consider this my notes along the way.
